An Outing to the Upper Mühlviertel
Sat., 7 October, 10 am, meeting point in the foyer of Lentos
The artists' outing in the country on 7 October takes us for the second time to the upper Mühlviertel and there to the artists Gabriele Berger in Schlägl, Gerald Bogner in Kriegwald and to Edda Seidl-Reiter and Erwin Reiter in Julbach. This art outing takes place in conjunction with the exhibition "A Shared Place".
Warm thanks to all the artists who have contributed to the success of this outing in the country.
PROGRAM
After a roughly one-hour drive to the upper Mühlviertel, we arrive in Schlägl and visit Gabriele Berger´s quarry. Then we go on to Kriegwald, close to the Bavarian border. The sculptor Gerald Bogner guides us through the cultural center that he founded, where there is currently an exhibition of paintings by Erwin Reiter and an open air ensemble of sculptures by Makoto Miuras. In conclusion, Edda Seidl-Reiter and Erwin Reiter welcome us to Julbach, where Erwin Reiter´s sculpture park provides a good overview of his artistic work. The outing in the country concludes in the artist couple´s studio.
