Live Production of Sculptures in Lentos
Helmuth Gsöllpointner "works in progress"
(on display until 5 November)
19 October 2006, 7.30 pm in the basement
Ceiling-high Variable Objects by Helmuth Gsöllpointner are shown in conjunction with the exhibition A Shared Place as work in progress until 5 November 2006 in the basement of the Lentos Art Museum Linz.
How these so-called Variable Objects are made is demonstrated by Prof. Helmuth Gsöllpointner live on site on Thursday, 19 October 2006 at 7.30 pm in the basement.
The former rector of the Linz Art University and professor of the masterclass "metal" for many years, who initiated the sculpture park "forum metall" in the Linz Danube Park together with Professor Peter Baum, not only demonstrates the creation of his variable objects, he also explains the concept of his sculptures executed in Styrofoam. Then Mag. Josef Andraschko starts a production of a variable object live in the basement of Lentos.
This demonstration is supplemented with sketches, plans and models of Gsöllpointner's Variable Sculptures in the adjacent room, which are on display until the end of the exhibition A Shared Place.
Helmuth Gsöllpointner is also a guest at sundays at 11 on 22 October 2006, together with Julie Hayward and Marko Lulic.
