Program Highlights in Fall 2007

In addition to the current exhibitions and their supplementary programs, there is even more to ensure that fall will be colorful in Lentos!

15 November, 7:00 pm:

Opening of the exhibition HAUS-RUCKER-CO LIVE again

A show is devoted to the architect/artist group HAUS-RUCKER-CO in the large exhibition hall. The exhibition centers around the Giant Billiard Ball, a pneumatic mattress 15 x 15 meters large and one meter high with three inflated balls made of PVC from the HAUS-RUCKER-CO exhibition LIVE from 1970.

18 November, 11 am - 1 pm:      

Sundays at 11 - the architect Laurids Ortner in discussion with Stella Rollig over breakfast

Laurids Ortner - architect and former founding member of the architect/artist group HAUS-RUCKER-CO - is welcomed during the current exhibition as the next guest in the discussion series Sundays at 11.

21 November, 7:00 pm:      

From Schumann to Peschek - Concert of the Music School Linz

Concert by the orchestra of the Music School Linz with pieces by and with Alfred Peschek, E. Lalo, Claudia Eder, Robert Schumann, Patrick Vida, P.I. Tschaikovski, Florian Eggner and Rudolf Jungwirth.

22 November, 7:00 pm:  

Special Guided Tour - HAUS-RUCKER-CO LIVE again

The curator of the exhibition HAUS-RUCKER-CO LIVE again, Mag.a Andrea Bina, leads a guided tour through the exhibition.

23 November, 7:00 pm:      

Opening of the Exhibition Mixing it up. Collection New
   
Festive new presentation of the Lentos Collection with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Metzger, Art Academy Karlsruhe ("Chambers of Admiration. About Art as It Comes into the Museum.") followed by a celebration in the auditorium.

29 November - 2 December:      

FashionZone Lentos - Design and Fashion Days at the Museum

A fashion fair takes place for the first time at Lentos with 26 designers and fashion-makers. The three-day FashionZone starts with a fashion show on the first evening.

6 December - 8 December, every day at 7:00 pm:  

"Sounds_Seeing_Images" Three-Day Music Festival Lentos

A very special kind of music festival takes place for the first time at Lentos. Renowned musicians from Austria, Germany and France set the world of images resonating. Music close up to art!

8 December, 10:00 pm:      

Concluding Concert of the Music Festival - Mastermind Waldeck

The band Mastermind Waldeck presents their latest album Ballroom Stories. The finest in electronic music!

23 December, 2:00 - 6:00 pm:      

LIVE: Possession & Poetry - Fictionautics Throughout the Museum by Jack Hauser & Sabina Holzer

The performer Sabina Holzer and the ex-filmmaker Jack Hauser roam through the exhibition spaces as the fictionauts Paul Sernine and Miss Coochie. Visitors are startled and surprised by unmediated transformation, rituals of remembrance, conversation and cinema. With support from the City of Vienna/Culture and BMUKK.
