Fictionautics in the Museum
Interventions and Performance by Jack Hauser and Sabina Holzer
Sunday, 23 December 2007, 2 pm - 6 pm
Just before Christmas, visitors to Lentos will be treated to a whole afternoon of astonishment. The performer Sabina Holzer and the filmmaker Jack Hauser will be roaming through the exhibition spaces of the art museum in Linz as the fictionauts Paul Sernine and Miss Coochie.
Without mediation or warning, they stage moments of transformation, rituals of remembrance, cinema sequences and much to discuss for the audience. In a live narrative the artists take the audience along on a journey to Spain and Morocco, exploring the concept of the museum now for the third time, following their interventions in other cultural institutions. Their intention is to follow a strange plan from Jean Genet: to dream oneself, to make this dream tangible, then to become dream again in other people.
