Academy of the Impossible
The Lentos Art Museum is the center of the Academy of the Impossible (14 July – 17 August 2008)
The step from the impossible to the possible often seems obvious and easy, and yet it is frequently associated with fear, doubt and insecurity. Once this step has been taken, there is usually something wonderful and unforgettable about it.
Linz 2009 European Capital of Culture opens a very special kind of academy of performing arts under the artistic direction of the international theater-maker David Maayan, the Academy of the Impossible. It offers everyone who is interested an opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in various fields of performing art and to overcome their own boundaries using active learning processes.
The Lentos Art Museum is the center for the first summer block of the Academy of the Impossible, where in over five weeks of workshops national and international artist will seek to make the impossible possible.
