New Acquisitions
In 2005 purchases have been made in conjunction with existing focal points of the collection as well as with ongoing research projects. Important works have been secured for the house from artists, to whom the museum has devoted exhibitions.
New works have been acquired for the collection in the field of artistic photography from Herwig Kempinger, Paul Kranzler, Werner Schrödl and others. The sculpture collection, which will be exhibited in summer 2006, has been expanded with works by, among others, Canan Dagdelen, Marko Lulic, Simon Wachsmuth, while the most current video works and drawings have been purchased from Uli Aigner, Ricarda Denzer and Monika Oechsler.
An important new acquisition is Anton Kolig´s painting "The Crime" (1946), which was donated to the museum by the Association of the Friends and Supporters of Lentos.
