Stella Rollig in conversation with Romana Ring and Wojciech Czaja

Sunday, 3 December 2006

Today it seems that everyone is interested in architecture. Architects become idolized stars, the presentation and discussion of new buildings and building plans is omnipresent in the media. So why is there still so much bad architecture? Why do innovative, aesthetically and functionally outstanding projects so often turn into mediocre buildings? And what are the criteria of quality?
In conjunction with the exhibition Museums of the 21st Century. Ideas, Projects, Buildings two high-profile architectural journalists talk about their views of Austrian building culture in relation to the international horizon, about their personal expectations from the built environment, and about how architecture can be communicated.
