LENTOS 2: Weekend Celebrating Lentos' 2nd Birthday

Friday 20 and Saturday 21 May 2005

Free Entrance on Saturday
Guided tours from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Live Concert: Friday, 20 May 2005, 7 p.m.

4 Rooms is a live concert and its simultaneous electronic treatment in real time. One room of the Lentos Art Museum becomes the musical center and stage for an improvising duo playing; in each of three adjacent rooms an electronics artist will pick up the stereo signal of the concert and manipulate it, each in their own way – using by turns analogue and digital technology. The audience wanders from one room to another, listening either to the original or to one of the three "remixes" – everyone composes their own concert by moving. Following the live act on 20 May, the artists will turn the sound material thus generated into a sound installation.

Featured artists:
Tony Buck (drums)
Andrea Neumann (interior piano)
Sabine Ercklentz (electronics
Christof Kurzmann (electronics)
Anna Maria Rodriguez (electronics)
