Homage to Anton Bruckner, 1998 Steel in two parts / 7 x 10 m |
|
| The artist, who lives in Madrid, belongs to the leading European sculptors of the older generation and his work has already been shown at many international exhibitions, at the Biennale (for instance, Sao Paulo 1959, Venice 1966) and in leading galleries and museums all over the world. At the centre of the presentation in Linz is his steel sculpture, 'Homage to Anton Bruckner', which was created in co-operation with the VOEST-ALPINE MCE for the 'Metal on the Banks of the Danube' Forum. The exhibition in the Neue Galerie shows his sculptures from the last few years in the atrium and his collages, drawings and printed graphics in the foyer. During the exhibition, an extensive catalogue has been published of his latest works, in which is widely documented the history of his steel sculpture in Linz. The price of the catalogue is ATS 160 while the limited edition, with an enclosed etching costs ATS 1600. (Annual subscribers receive a 20 percent reduction. Photographs and other supporting information packs can be requested, at any time, from the Neue Galerie.) | |
