The years during which
Keith became famous worldwide. He had exhibitions in the most renowned
museums and galleries in Rotterdam, Tokyo, Naples, Antwerp, London,
Cologne, Milan, Basel, Munich, Bordeaux, Amsterdam, Paris, Sidney
and other cities, as well as numerous shows in New York and throughout
the USA.
Exhibition of his large, painted steel sculptures at the Castelli
Gallery in 1985. Opening of his Pop Shop in New York in 1986 - a
sales venue for Haring multiples and products. Painting of the Berlin
Wall 1986. Opening of the Pop Shop in Tokyo 1988. |

Involvement in wide-spread
AIDS campaigns to raise awareness about the disease. Establishment
of the Keith Haring Foundation, a social organization promoting
charitable causes. |
