Curator’s Tour: Background and Context, on ​“Max Pechstein” (German only)

Discover Max Pechstein, one of the most important pioneers of German Expressionism. The current special exhibition Max Pechstein: An Adventure into Expressionism at the Lentos brings together over 100 works, spanning from Baltic Sea landscapes to Pechstein’s experiences in the South Seas and his late work.

During the curator-led tour with Brigitte Reutner-Doneus, you’ll learn more about his artistic development, key milestones in his life, and his special connection to Wolfgang Gurlitt, the founder of the Lentos’ predecessor institution.
