Press kit: Kyiv Biennial 2025
Vertical Horizon
12.11.25 to 06.01.26

With the exhibition Vertical Horizon, the Lentos Art Museum is part of the international Kyiv Biennial 2025. Against the backdrop of ongoing wars, colonial continuities, and global inequalities, the Biennial serves as a space for reflection, solidarity, and critical engagement. Initiated by the association tranzit.at, Lentos presents Vertical Horizon, an exhibition conceived specifically for Linz that explores the concept of land and landscape as both poetic and political entities. It traces their development as visual foundations of territorial identity – from the marking of borders and ownership to the technologically enhanced, extractivist exploration of the earth’s layers by national and transnational agents of power.
