The Room: Short Film Evening with Parisa Ghasemi (artist, International Short Film Festival Linz)
Dance of Mourning – “Woman, Life, Freedom” Lives On in Iran
Four years after the beginning of the revolutionary “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, this evening explores how grief, memory, dance, and music intertwine in present-day Iran — how music and rhythmic expression become forms of resistance, and how even funerals become manifestations of collective strength and joy for life.
Parisa Ghasemi will present film excerpts featuring girls and women engaged in creative resistance and will speak with us about them. All questions are welcome.
