The Room: International Women’s Day Special – Overprint T‑Shirts Screen Printing Workshop (and Art Talks in the Exhibition) on the occasion of International Women’s Day with Cécile Belmont (artist).
A brand logo? A floral motif on a blouse? A geometric fabric pattern? We go louder and invent our own images and statements, which we overprint using screen-printing with paper stencils. It’s about creativity, appropriation, and liberating humor.
Please bring light-colored (old) textiles — e.g. T‑shirts, clothing, fabric bags, etc. Ideally with patterns, logos, stains…
No prior experience required.
Registration required.
Cécile Belmont: visual artist. Lives in Linz. Studied textile design in Paris, painting in Buenos Aires, and textile art in Berlin. She works at the intersection of applied and fine art, using wild embroidery, textile screen printing, participatory projects, and interventions in communal spaces.
