Amadeo Gabino (*1922 Valencia, ESP; † 2004 Madrid, ESP) studied in Valencia, Rome, Paris, Hamburg, Madrid and New York. He made a close examination of the myth of the machine in his work in the tracks of the Cubists and the Constructivists devising contemporary abstract symbols in stainless steel, Corten steel aluminium and iron. The rounded sheet metal was elaborately worked and riveted into cubes, columns, reliefs and gates symbolising the age of industrial technology.

In 1998 Gabino provided a striking new work for Forum Metall in the voluminous, twopart, six metre high Hommage à Anton Bruckner in Corten steel – the technical implementation of this work was performed by the VOEST-ALPINE MCE Steel group.
