Lentos Friends
Friends support and help one another where they can. For example in researching, collecting, preserving and communicating. The Association of Friends of the Lentos aims to support and promote the museum. Through the purchase of art works the association supports the museum direction in further expanding the Collection. Since the Association was founded in 1985, members have purchased works by Tony Cragg, Gerwald Rockenschaub or EVA & ADELE and others. With their friendship they contribute to strengthening Lentos as one of the leading addresses for modern and contemporary art, thus promoting the important social, artistic and academic tasks of the museum. The museum also gives something back to you as a good friend: you become part of a pulsating art scene and provide – tax deductible – support for one of the most important museums of modern and contemporary art in Austria.

Longing for Peace
80 Years since the End of the War in Linz – 1945/2025
The exhibition explores the ruptures and continuities in Linz during the transition from a wartime to a postwar society, the fall of the National Socialist dictatorship, and the beginnings of renewed democratization. It invites visitors to reflect on the still ambivalent relationship between collective repression on the one hand and the relevance of history for democracy and peace on the other.

“After Work” Studio Visit with ANDJÉ PIETRZYK
Born in Poland in 1959, Pietrzyk first studied in his home country before moving on to study monumental sculpture at the Ilja Repin Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, then Leningrad, followed by a scholarship at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. After a stay in Berlin, he settled in Linz in 1991, which has since become his main residence. In 2015, he participated in Art Miami with the Rudolf Budja Gallery, where he developed a passion for iPad drawings while continuing to create sculptures and numerous paintings. A major milestone in his career was his participation in the 2021 World Expo, where his 16-ton sculpture Bucephalus was exhibited.
