Erwin Reiter, Current, 1977
Erwin Reiter (*1933 Julbach, AUT; † 2015 ibid.) studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Art in Fritz Wotruba’s master class from 1954 – 59. 1954 creation of a vocabulary of forms with bands that vibrate at differing rhythms. In 1960 the first of his characteristic lamella figures. 1964 worked with Wotruba on a wall relief for the University of Maribor. 1968 lecturer at the College of Applied Art with Wander Bertoni. 1973 – 2000 chair at the College of Design in Linz, head of a master class in sculpture.
