The Room: Special Event for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women: “Courage Begins with You – Civil Courage Matters!” Workshop with StoP Linz and the Women’s Office of the City of Linz
As a special event for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (November 25), we will start already at 5:00 PM with a guided tour of the exhibition at Lentos led by Elisa Andessner (artist). At 6:15 PM, we will visit her exhibition “FRAUEN*ZIMMERSCHIESSEN. name it|count it|end it” at splace Linz, Hauptplatz 6.
As long as spots are available, girls* and women* can take part in the workshop “Courage Begins with You – Civil Courage Matters!” (at splace Linz), organized by the Women’s Office of the City of Linz and StoP Linz.
Workshop-Information:
How does a violent relationship develop? What are the warning signs? What can I do if I or someone I know is confronted with violence in a relationship? What support services are available?
In this workshop, the story of a violent relationship is explored through a thought experiment. You will learn about different forms of intimate partner violence and typical warning signs. The goal of the workshop is to empower participants and equip them with practical civil courage tools to respond appropriately and offer support in everyday situations.
Registration through the Women’s Office Linz is strongly recommended.
After the workshop, there will be time to explore the exhibition “FRAUEN*ZIMMERSCHIESSEN. name it|count it|end it” by artist Elisa Andessner.
