A Parallel (R​)evolution — Digital Art in Latin America

Out of more than 160 nominated artists, six were awarded the first CIFO-Ars Electronica Awards in April 2022:

Dora Ytzell Bartilotti (MEX)
Electrobiota Collective: Gabriela Munguía (MEX) and Guadalupe Chávez (ARG)
Thessia Machado (BRA/USA)
Amor Muñoz (MEX)
Ana Elena Tejera (PAN)

They received up to 30,000 dollars for the development and realisation of their submitted concepts.

The finished works will be presented in this exhibition at Lentos, after the show they will become part of the permanent collection of Latin American art of the renowned Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO). Since 2002, this foundation based in Miami, Florida, USA, has set itself the task of supporting and promoting cultural understanding and educational dialogue between Latin American artists and the global public.

The exhibition at Lentos takes place within the framework of the Ars Electronica Festival 2022.
